Growing up, I had the opportunity to see the varying neighborhood personalities of greater Los Angeles. As a child, I was bused to school and spent an average of 4 hours a day staring out the bus window. This is where I fell in love with design and architecture. I would study the passing houses, buildings and billboard advertisements, movie posters, and store signage that graced everything: from swap meets to diners to high-end Rodeo Drive boutiques. Subsequently, I majored in Graphic Design in college, and found a fulfilling career in the Toy Industry for 15 years. Yet, my enthusiasm for architecture never dwindled, even as I worked (& played) with toys into adulthood.
I remember, always, wishing that I could one day ‘live at the beach’… in a cool modern house. I was drawn to the architectural style of Richard Meier, as I became familiar with his work in 90’s, witnessing the construction of the Getty Center which took 12 years to build.
This website is a collection of ALL the amazing Modern sites of Los Angeles & Orange County. I plan to share nostalgic and new architectural hot spots (museums, eateries, etc.), hoping this ignites an excitement in our community to explore! Also, I will be pursuing my Real Estate License, as I am ready for a new career dedicated to helping people finding their dream home.
